About Mill Stone & How We Work
What makes Mill Stone Legal Group different from other personal injury firms?
Many large firms handle cases in bulk and clients rarely speak to their attorney. Mill Stone works the opposite way. You speak directly with your lawyer. You get immediate action, personal attention, and aggressive representation. We fight powerful insurance companies so everyday Floridians are not pushed around.
Will I really speak directly with the attorney?
Yes. Every client works directly with Attorney Matthew R. McGuigan or one of our other highly skilled and experienced attorneys. You will never be handed off or treated like a number.
Are you available after hours?
Yes. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. When you call, you get real help right away.
Do you handle cases throughout Florida?
Yes. Although we are based in Coral Springs, we represent injured clients statewide.
Why does Mill Stone Legal Group fight so hard for injury victims?
Because an accident can change someone’s life instantly. People face medical bills, lost income, and pressure from insurance companies. Our mission is to protect everyday Floridians and make sure no one gets pushed around by powerful institutions. Your case is our commitment and our fight.
Your Case & the Legal Process
What types of cases does Mill Stone Legal Group handle?
We represent clients in car accidents, motorcycle accidents, commercial truck , boating accidents, cruise ship injuries and 18 wheeler accidents, slip and fall cases, medical malpractice, nursing home abuse and neglect, and wrongful death.
How long will my case take?
Every case is different. Some resolve in a few months and others take longer if litigation is needed. What we can guarantee is fast action, consistent communication, and strong pressure on insurers.
Will my case go to court?
Most cases settle, but we prepare every case as if trial is possible. Insurance companies respect a firm that is ready to litigate.
How much is my case worth?
Your compensation depends on medical expenses, future treatment, lost income, property damage, pain and suffering, and long term impact. We investigate thoroughly and fight for the maximum recovery available.
What if I was partially at fault?
You may still be able to recover compensation. We analyze the details and fight for every dollar you are entitled to receive.
How long do I have to file a claim in Florida?
Florida has strict deadlines that depend on the case type. The sooner you contact us, the better we can protect your rights.
What documents or information do I need to begin?
Bring anything you have such as the accident report, photos, medical records, or insurance details. If possible, collect names of any potential witnesses, any comments or admissions made by the other party/driver, any tickets that were given, and any businesses nearby that may have a camera. If you do not have these, we will help you obtain them.
What to Do After an Accident
What should I do immediately after an accident?
Get medical care right away. DO NOT speak with any insurance company until you speak with our office. Contact Mill Stone Legal Group as soon as possible so we can protect your rights.
Additionally, try to take pictures of the scene and any vehicles involved in the accident. Photos should capture any damages to all vehicles involved, and all injuries you suffered.
It is also helpful to obtain a copy of the police report.
How do I get medical treatment if I do not have health insurance?
We work with trusted medical providers who treat injury victims immediately and wait for payment until the case resolves. Lack of insurance will not prevent you from getting care.
What if my injuries seem minor?
Many serious injuries take days or weeks to appear. Getting evaluated immediately protects your health and your case.
